The SIGUCCS 2015 Conference, to be held in St. Petersburg, Florida, will begin the evening of Monday, November 9, 2015 and run through the afternoon of Friday, November 13. The conference offers boundless opportunities for technology managers and operational staff to exchange ideas, gain insight from colleagues facing similar challenges and reflect on what you are doing to enhance learning not only in higher education, but with your own professional development as well. SIGUCCS 2015 will focus on strategies, tools and insights for those responsible for implementing and supporting current and emerging technologies. The theme of this year's conference is “Make Your Sun Shine” and we hope you take away new skills and strategies to help you grow personally and professionally so your sun shines!
The annual SIGUCCS conference is the organization’s summit event, bringing together the Service & Support Conference and the Management Symposium. The Service & Support conference will open on Monday night with a welcoming reception and run through the morning of Thursday, November 12. The Management Symposium will open the afternoon of Wednesday, November 11, run concurrently with Service & Support through the plenary on Thursday, and then continue as Management Symposium only through early afternoon Friday, November 13.
SIGUCCS 2015 will give you a myriad of opportunity: you can attend for the entire week of both conferences; you can register for either of the two conferences separately, and/or you can register for supplementary seminars. In addition to attending the formal program, be sure to allow time to meet or reconnect with colleagues — one of the most rewarding benefits of SIGUCCS.

Finding a cost-effective way to deal with the pace of change in technology is a key challenge of all universities. At the heart of all the changes are the people who provide direct technology support and services. During the first part of the week, the SIGUCCS conference offers service & support providers with the opportunity to interact with peers and technical experts from all over the continent and beyond. The Service & Support conference focuses on technical skills and end user support services, with session topics organized into tracks. Discussing technologies, methods and reflections with equals is a great way to generate ideas and solutions that can be carried home to higher management.

During the latter part of the week, presentations will cover issues closely related to management and leadership of higher education information technology. Sessions will be of the "facilitated discussion" format; no papers are written for these sessions, and they are expected to contain much audience interaction. Organized into 3 or more topic tracks, this segment of the weeklong event will appeal to frontline managers, mid-level managers, project leaders, and CIOs. It will also be valuable for those who aspire to these leadership positions or who are very new to management.
