One form of natural disaster, we all deal with, is a lack of understanding the whys and hows our boss/staff react to users the way they do. We have all been in the situation where a user asks us a question and we answer is a certain way, only to find our boss (or staff) have started to solve the problem differently. Each of us says (or maybe only thinks) why did that person do that!!!!! How did she/he ever come to that conclusion!!! So the users are getting different messages which adds to their confusion.
The purpose of this session is to examine the "how and why" staff and management perceive problems. Individuals from each group will give their opinions about how they would address certain issues. The audience is strongly encouraged to bring issues of their own for the panel to discuss. The audience should leave having greater insight into how decisions at each level are arrived at, thus fostering better understanding within the organization and better service to users.
