Email Room

When?

Beginning Sunday afternoon through Wednesday morning. We're not sure of the opening/closing times yet. Please realize we can't leave the room open 24 hours a day for security reasons!

Where?

The Fork's House Room on the 14th floor. Check out the map to see where it is.

What?

Twelve Zenith Campus Z-stations will be available for your use. These machines will have a lot of software pre-installed by Zenith, including Windows 95, MS-Office and Internet Explorer.

How?

We will install additional software on the Z-Stations so you can check your mail. We plan to install Eudora Light and tcp3270 (a telnet program that does both vt100 and tn3270 terminal emulation).

If you are a PC Eudora user at your home institution and wish to use Eudora at the conference, you should bring with you to the conference a DOS-formatted disk with the EUDORA.INI from the EUDORA directory on your PC.

If you are a Macintosh Eudora user at your home institution and wish to use Eudora at the conference, you should bring with you a blank disk. We will have a little program/batch file that you can run that will put the necessary files on your disk so you can use Windows Eudora. Aw, c'mon, don't complain about using a PC - it could be worse! How? The email machines could be DOS only machines that require you to use telnet to connect back to your institution.

Acknowledgement

The ACM SIGUCCS XXIIV Conference Planning Committee wishes to give special acknowledgement to Zenith Data Systems for generously loaning its Campus Z-Stations for use by conference attendees.
