Taking Public Transportation to the Conference

Saturday Arrival: From O'Hare

1. take the blue line train out of O'Hare
2. get off at the Clark & Lake stop in downtown Chicago; at this point, the train is a subway
3. go upstairs to elevated train lines
4. take the Ravenswood brown line train north
5. get off at the Merchandise Mart
6. follow signs to Orleans St, on the west side of the Merchandise Mart
7. cross Orleans St; the Holiday Inn is directly across the street from the Merchandise Mart

Saturday Arrival: From Midway

1. take the orange line train out of Midway
2. get off at the Clark & Lake stop in downtown Chicago
3. take the Ravenswood brown line train north
4. get off at the Merchandise Mart
5. follow signs to Orleans St, on the west side of the Merchandise Mart
6. cross Orleans St; the Holiday Inn is directly across the street from the Merchandise Mart

Sunday Arrival: From O'Hare

1. take the blue line train out of O'Hare
2. get off at the Clark & Lake stop in downtown Chicago; at this point, the train is a subway
3. at this point, you're stuck, because the Ravenswood elevated train line does *not* run on Sundays; your options at this point are:
   • walk one block north to Wacker Dr; then walk west four blocks to Orleans St; then walk north one block across the Chicago River to the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza. This is a long walk with luggage...
   • hail a taxicab; it'll only cost a few bucks...
