What is it about change that makes it both exhilarating and frightening? As Information Technology professionals we live change - we promote its innovation; we document its progress; we support its transitions. We are the catalysts and guides for change within our institutions. But how do we deal with our own changes? How do we adapt to innovation, keep up with progress, manage our own transitions?
This year, SIGUCCS examines change as it affects us in User Services. Share your stories with us by participating in this year's conference. Please feel free to submit a story about any change you have experienced in User Services.
This fall, the conference offers abundant opportunities for talking with people "who do what you do"! If you've not attended this conference before you will be surprised when you talk to colleagues at other institutions. You will find that we all have similar problems and concerns. Many of the ideas you hear at SIGUCCS can be taken back to your institution to be implemented "as is" at your site. You will take home valuable documents, make important professional contacts, and begin lasting friendships.
