Dear SIGUCCS colleagues,

We invite you to start planning your participation in SIGUCCS 98. With any luck, Jack Frost will make October 25-28 a perfect week to visit our beautiful campus at Indiana University - Bloomington. Holding SIGUCCS on a college campus offers unique opportunities to discuss new technologies and support strategies, and to showcase their implementations at IU. We encourage you to take walking meetings with your new colleagues during conference breaks and exchange ideas about what's working well on your campus.

We'll be asking for your suggestions for topics you'd like to see featured next year. We've already started planning for our keynote speakers, the Sunday evening welcome-reunion-mixer, a technology showcase for Monday evening, and a gala party for Tuesday. We also have a few surprises.

What theme does our tree logo suggest to you? We want your ideas. We'll have a suggestion box in Monterey, and a suggestion form on our Web site.

We hope to see you all in Bloomington, Indiana, next October! Bring your friends and your boss!
