Tri-Met provides public transit service and much more
for the Portland, Oregon, metropolitan area. A new light
rail link from the airport is scheduled to open September
2001. There is NO shuttle service from the airport to
the hotel, so it is either a taxi or light rail. Taxi
will average about $25 - $35, the airport is 20 minutes
from downtown.

Shuttle
— The Portland Marriott
does not offer shuttle service to and from the airport.
However, Gray Line Airport Express does offer service
to all the downtown hotels. The cost is $16/per person,
one way. Shuttles run approximately every 45 minutes.
Upon
collecting your baggage, proceed outside, cross the
first two lanes of traffic and you will see a sign for
Gray Line. Please pay the driver of your bus. You do
not need advance reservations to or from the airport.
However, you will need to get a schedule from the driver
for the pick up times for the Portland Marriott. For
more information, please call (800) 422-7042.
The
Portland Marriott guest services staff should also
be able to answer questions regarding your return
trip to the airport.
Taxi
— The cost is approximately $25-30 for a one way
trip. There is also limousine service at competitive
rates.
