SIGUCCS 2002 Publications Competition

Each year ACM/SIGUCCS sponsors a competition to honor the best publications, Web sites, and promotional materials produced by university and college computing centers.

The 2001 competition was a huge success, with entries coming from small schools, big schools, schools on the East Coast, schools on the West Coast, and schools in-between!

Now is the time to start thinking about your entries for 2002 - you'll find a list of categories below. The deadline for entering materials will be Friday, September 6, 2002; see the link at the bottom of the page to submit your entries.

Awards for the competitions will be presented at the ACM SIGUCCS Fall User Services Conference, Providence, Rhode Island, November 20-23, 2002.

Prizes

The first prize for each category will be awarded to the overall top entry. However, in recognition of the differences in resources available to small schools versus large institutions, there will be two award levels in each category for second and thi rd prizes. Schools with fewer than 4000 full-time undergrads will compete in level 1 and those with 4000 or more, in level 2.

The entries will be displayed during the conference for perusal by the conference participants.

Important Note! First Place Winners in 2002: This year's category winners will judge the publications competition next year (2003).
