Information For Presenters

Thank You

First, a note of thanks for all the hard work you have already put in. The SIGUCCS conference is committed to having the best technical program possible. Presenting at SIGUCCS, and having your paper or poster published in ACM's archives, is a big achievement.

To help you stay on track and have a successful presentation, the Program Committee has provided this checklist for you.

Presenter Checklist

Submit your abstract.
April 5
Submit your paper for review.
May 1
Work with your reviewer to finish the writing, editing and presentation of your ideas for publication.
June 10
Submit your final paper to ACM's printer, Sheridan Printing.
July 25
Submit your final abstract to the Design Team for inclusion in the Program Booklet.
July 31
Take a breather for a week - you have worked hard on the first part of your presentation, the paper.

Make sure you are registered for SIGUCCS and that you have accomodations. (All attendees and presenters must cover their own conference expenses.)
Early registration closes September 15
Begin work on your presentation materials (handouts, slides, videos, etc.).
September 15
Rehearse your presentation. The most successful presentations are those that are rehearsed and, in many cases, scripted.
October 1
Ship any materials too big to travel with to the Waterfront Marriott. Label the package with "Hold for guest: your name / ACM SIGUCCS Conference"
October 3
Travel to SIGUCCS.
October 9 or 10
Relax the night before your presentation; you have prepared well and you are ready.

Present your paper/poster!

Receive feedback from the attendees.
