The
SIGUCCS Fall Conference is widely known as the premiere event
for IT support professionals. It's the one time of the year
when we can meet with our IT support colleagues who share
our challenges, understand our angst, and can empathize with
our tales. It's also an opportunity to gain insights, discover
how others have solved similar problems, and perhaps save
ourselves from reinventing the proverbial wheel.
The SIGUCCS program revolves around
presentations of papers written by attendees, panel discussions,
tutorials, poster sessions, and birds-of-a-feather (BOF) sessions.
There are also many opportunities built into the conference
schedule for networking with peers in more relaxed, informal
settings - breaks, lunch, the welcome reception, a "fun
run/walk", an ice cream social and an always-entertaining
gala event. Events scheduled include:
- Pre-conference Tutorials
- Opening Reception at an the Portola Plaza
Hotel on Sunday, November 6th - attendees are encouraged
to wear sweatshirts or other shirts depicting their college
or university
- Keynote Speakers - Monday and Wednesday
- Presentations
- Poster Sessions

- Documentation Display Room and Email Room
- Hospitality Suite (available Saturday -
Tuesday evenings)
