Current Requirements for Entry Into Canada

Visas are not required for U.S. citizens entering Canada from the U.S. You will, however, need:

  1. Proof of your U.S. citizenship such as your U.S. passport (For information on obtaining a U.S. passport, check with one of the regional passport agencies located throughout the U.S.) or certified copy of your birth certificate issued by the city, county or state in the U.S. where you were born. If you are a naturalized U.S. citizen and do not have a passport, you should travel with your naturalization certificate. A driver’s license, voter’s registration card or Social Security card is NOT valid proof of citizenship.
  2. Photo identification, such as a current, valid driver’s license.

For more information concerning travel to Canada click here.

West Edmonton Mall has over 800 stores and services under one roof.  Not only can you enjoy the 2006 Fall Conference, but during your spare time you can shop, enjoy the large water park, go on a deep sea adventure, golf, skate, go on a roller coaster ride, see a movie or an IMAX show, bowl, go to the casino and much more all without leaving the mall.
This year's Fall Conference is "Expanding The Boundaries".  The Fall Conference has not been to Canada since 1986 and we thought that “Expanding The Boundaries” was an appropriate theme.  We hope that while you are here you will expand your knowledge and skills, and share your expertise amongst each other. We encourage everyone to pursue new boundaries, go beyond your current boundaries, and gain knowledge to push future boundaries.
While in Edmonton, expand your boundaries beyond the conference and come a few days early or stay a few days after and take a trip to Banff or Jasper.  You may want to attend the 2006 Western Canadian Finals Rodeo, or just enjoy the friendly ambiance of Edmonton.   We look forward to seeing you at SIGUCCS 2006!

Your Fall Conference Core-Committee,
Alex Nagorski, Bob Haring-Smith, Gordana Brouilette, Carol Rhodes
