The Hilton Portland and Executive Tower
Located in downtown Portland, The Hilton Portland and Executive Tower is a few short blocks from Pioneer Square and the Portland Art Museum (location of this year's Gala.) The Hilton is located 10 miles from the airport, and you can get to the hotel from the airport on the Max line for only $2.30. Travel on the Max within the city around the hotel is generally free. (there is a fareless square for the downtown blocks which encompasses food and shopping). Within walking distance you'll find the riverfront shops and restaurants, Portland's China Town, and for those who like to read, check out Powell's Bookstore.
Conference activities will be on three floors; the mezzanine level, the ballroom level, and finally, the conference's evening Hospitality Suite will be found 
on the top floor of the hotel, providing a spectacular view of the city. Our hospitality space this year is two adjoining rooms - we'll have a place for you to blow off steam and a place to sit and talk.
The room cost during the conference is $136 USD/night, but you must make your reservations by September 19, 2008. A limited number of rooms are available at conference rates before the conference begins and after the conference ends. Savor the area as you arrive early or stay late. Enjoy all of the conference.

Getting To The Hotel
Fly to Portland International Airport - PDX
From the airport it is about a 25-30 minute ride on the MAX light rail to Pioneer Square. Exit at Pioneer Square North. Walk along Morrison Ave to 6th Ave and turn south, walking one block along the side of Pioneer Square. As you cross Yamhill Ave you'll see the Pioneer Square South MAX stop, where you'll be able to board the MAX for your return trip to the airport. Continue south on 6th Ave. Cross Taylor and walk another half block to the entrance of the hotel.
If you are staying in the Executive Tower, don't cross Taylor, but turn and cross 6th Ave to the entrance of the Tower. The Executive Tower is located on the North East corner of Taylor Ave and 6th Ave.

Here is a map of the immediate area of the hotel - note the Pioneer Square North MAX stop near the intersection of Morrison and Broadway. In fact, the train stops about mid-way between Broadway Ave and 6th Ave along Morrison, a few yards from the intersection of Morrison and 6th, closer if you are in the last car of the train!

If you want to have some fun, click on the "View Larger Map" link, then, on the web page that opens, click on the Street View link. Position your "person" at the intersection of Morrison and 6th and, if another window doesn't open, double click on your "person." Using the navigation controls in the window that will appear, you can rotate your view, and walk south on 6th. Make sure you rotate your view to be in the general direction that you'll be walking. Take a look at Pioneer Square as you walk by. You can walk to the front of the hotel or Executive Tower, so you'll know exactly what it looks like!
Driving or Renting a Car?
The hotel charges $18.00 USD/night for parking!
**PLEASE NOTE: the hotel consists of two buildings (Main & Executive Tower). Please review your reservation room type for building assignment. For your convenience, if your room assignment states EXECUTIVE TOWER, you may arrive and park there directly.
The Executive Tower's entrance is located at 545 SW Taylor between 5th and 6th Avenues.
Coming From the Airport?
Take I-205 SOUTH and exit onto I-84 WEST. At the end of I-84 West you will reach a junction of I-5 North and South. Go SOUTH toward Salem (to your left). Immediately follow the City Center signs, which will take you across the Morrison Bridge. Head STRAIGHT through the traffic light near the end of the bridge onto SW Washington St. Take Washington 1 block and then turn LEFT onto 3rd Avenue. Take 3rd Avenue 4 blocks and then turn RIGHT onto SW Taylor St. Take Taylor 3 blocks and our front doors for the Executive Tower will be on your right-hand side.
** To arrive at the MAIN building, continue on SW Taylor 1 block and turn LEFT onto SW Broadway, LEFT on Salmon Street, LEFT on SW 6th Avenue, our Main building front doors are on left hand side of 6th Avenue.
From the North (Seattle) Southbound on I-5
Take exit 300B off of I-5 Southbound. After exiting, follow the City Center signs which will take you across the Morrison Bridge. Head STRAIGHT through the traffic light near the end of the bridge onto SW Washington St. Take Washington 1 block and then turn LEFT onto 3rd Avenue. Take 3rd Avenue 4 blocks and then turn RIGHT onto SW Taylor St. Take Taylor 3 blocks and our front doors for the Executive Tower will be on your right-hand side.
