Volunteering

Volunteering is a big part of the SIGUCCS Fall Conference. As you can imagine, it takes many, many people to make this conference the very best it can be. The conference is a wonderful experience on its own, but is even more enjoyable when you are an integral part of it. Get involved by volunteering - you'll meet some new folks and form some lasting friendships!

What do you get for volunteering? Aside from a really great feeling, and having the opportunity to meet more people during the conference, you'll be invited to a reception for the Penny Crane Award recipient, Hall of Fame Award recipients, and you, the Volunteers who help make it all happen.

There are opportunities to volunteer before, during and after the conference.

Volunteer areas are:

Stuff Goodie Bags
Each conference attendee gets a bag filled with all sorts of goodies and conference information. Help get these bags ready for check-in. Saturday, October 18th (includes pizza for lunch)

Staff Registration/Help Desk

First Time Attendees Mentors
Being user support professionals, we are always concerned about the user experience. At this conference we try to make 1st time attendees feel as welcome and informed as possible. We do this through a 1st timer mentoring program. If you have attended the SIGUCCS conference before, consider being a mentor. The time commitment is minimal - an email to a 1st timer before the conference, attending the 1st timer's orientation Sunday night and in general being available to answer any questions.
