WorkshopsIt is the mission of SIGUCCS to foster professional development for those in higher education IT services. At each of the yearly conferences, opportunities are provided that help fulfill this mission. We would like to personally invite you to attend one of the Pre-Conference Workshops that are scheduled for the Fall SIGUCCS conference. We have some interesting sessions on a variety of topics. The goal is for the professional development workshops to give you new skills or ignite old ones. The workshops are held on Sunday, October 11, 2009 and we have both morning and afternoon sessions. There is an additional fee and you can register for workshops at the same time you complete your conference registration. Please see the list below for the workshops that will be offered this year. The workshops are learner-centered and will take into consideration your needs on a particular topic and try to include them in the design of the workshop. We also try to make the workshops activity-based so that you are able to engage with the material presented. Overall, it can be an exciting and rewarding session and a great way to start off the SIGUCCS conference! If you have questions about any of the workshops, please email Karen McRitchie, the Workshop/Tutorial Chair, at mcritchi@grinnell.edu.
