Session Description

Technology Track, Session II
Session topic: Technology Classrooms
Session presenters: Sue Clabaugh, University of Maryland
Format: Facilitated discussion
Description:
More and more schools are putting in "technology classrooms". What is needed, what works, and what does it cost? Are PCs needed at every seat, or do you need a network connection for students to plug in laptops? How about a standard podium with networked PC, DVD player, slide projector, VCR? Are Distance Education classrooms a special case? Does every classroom need to be a "technology classroom"? Whatever is in a technology classroom, it better work when the instructor walks in the room. How do you provide that level of support for these rooms?
