Speaker BioJanet R. de Vry is manager of Instructional Services for IT/User Services at the University of Delaware. She is responsible for training and support for faculty in teaching with technology and for the educational programs in computing for faculty and staff. Her responsibilities include managing:
Janet has a B.A. in history from Temple University and an M.S. Ed from the University of Pennsylvania. She taught African and Asian History and History of Western Civilization for six years at the secondary level. She was a freelance computing instructor in industry before starting part-time at the University of Delaware. Ever since joining the User Services staff full time in 1989, she has managed the computing educational programs. She enjoys discovering where technology can make the greatest difference in learning. She presents regularly at conferences and has written articles and chapters on educational technology. |
