Speaker Bio

Dr. Stephen E. Silliman is the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs in the College of Engineering at the University of Notre Dame. He is also a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Geological Sciences. Dr. Silliman joined Notre Dame in 1986 after completing a B.S.E. at Princeton University in 1979 and Masters and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Arizona in 1982 and 1986, respectively. Within the Department of Civil Engineering and Geological Sciences, Dr. Silliman works in the field of groundwater hydrology, groundwater quality, and water resources in developing countries.
