Herding Cats: Managing Distributed and Cross-functional Teams

A distributed support team environment that offers a decentralized approach to campus-wide support is a challenging but effective way to reach clients. Lehigh's current services often involve complex client and technical issues which are best addressed by cross-functional support teams. This session will discuss the following areas that are key to achieving team synergies and client satisfaction: hiring practices, leadership skills, cultural issues, staff development, liaison support programs, service standards, and project management.
