How to Participate:

We encourage you to participate by presenting and leading a facilitated discussion session or organizing a panel. You may submit abstracts for facilitated discussion sessions, panel discussions, or both. Abstracts up to 200 words are due November 30, 2005 and will be judged on clarity, relevance to the computing services management audience, and professionalism. Production of a paper is not required, but your presentation will be posted on the Symposium website following the conference.

Facilitated Discussion Session Guidelines
Session format consists of a 20-30 minute talk and a facilitated discussion with the audience. Length of talk may vary with the number of speakers. The speaker(s) should describe their topic and present at least 6-8 thought-provoking issues associated with the topic to the audience for discussion. Interspersing these short discussions with the subject of the talk creates a highly-interactive and stimulating session. No less than 45 minutes should be reserved for discussion.

Panel Discussion Guidelines
A panel discussion will include a moderated 20-40 minute discussion with multiple participants from various institutions offering perspectives and experiences on a single topic. The panel moderator should facilitate audience participation in the discussion. All proposed panelists should be identified in the abstract.
