Title: The Wheels on the Bus...

Ever feel like you are the driver of a bus that keeps getting forced off the road because of other driver's emergencies? Do you stay in the lane you are in? Do you buy a map? Do you ask for a GPS? Or do you just start ramming ahead and hitting road block after road block? This analogy help describes the daily challenges faced by management within IMT at SCAD. One manager is faced with their own projects with set deadlines; another manager is handling an impending crisis because of the deadline of another department outside IMT; all are faced with the challenge to think innovatively, review and communicate options . Regardless of the departments, the problem is a college problem and it is yours to resolve. See how SCAD uses Administrative Re-Design committees, existing technologies, and project matrixes to keep the bus rolling down the highway to its next adventure -- whatever new campus, new curriculum, or new project appears.
