Title: Everything I Needed to Know about I.T. Leadership I Learned from Star Trek
"Everything I needed to know about life I learned from Star Trek" is a simple list of key themes from the original Star Trek TV series. These themes provide an unusual, but useful perspective on life. But what if we were to apply those themes to leadership and management of information systems? This presentation is a humorous and non-prescriptive look at the leadership skills needed to run an information systems organization. The speaker looks at how these rules apply to creating digital technology solutions at in the higher education environment and how to manage the implementation of those solutions.
