Communication Awards
Each year SIGUCCS sponsors Communication Awards to recognize outstanding web sites, publications and promotional materials produced by university and college computing centers. These awards recognize excellence in developing useful and appealing materials to enhance user services and offer attendees an opportunity to garner ideas to enhance their own efforts.
The awards will be presented at the Fall Conference. Winning entries will be displayed during the conference. Participants and any conference attendees are also encouraged to display their own materials in the Documentation Room at the conference.
In each category, the top entry will receive a "Best of Category" award, while other winners will receive an "Award of Excellence." In recognition of the differences in resources available to institutions of varying size, there may be two groups of competitors in a category. Schools with fewer than 4000 students may compete in Group 1 and those with 4000 or more in Group 2. The "Best of Category" award winners will be asked to present their materials at the conference Poster session. All award winners will be invited to a special recognition breakfast, which will be held during the conference.
