About SIGUCCS
SIGUCCS is an Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on University and College Computing Services. SIGUCCS conference events and activities focus on the issues surrounding the support, delivery, and management of college and university IT services. The conference format provides members and those in the field of college and university IT support a wide variety of learning and professional development opportunities.
The conference is made up of two distinct components: the Management Symposium and the Service & Support Conference. Both segments give IT professionals extended time to acquire knowledge and to network with other IT professionals at all levels. Each conference continues to preserve its traditional audience and programs. However, now managers and teams have the opportunity to attend one or both events, allowing them to work and share together during this one-week conference.

Sessions take a variety of formats, offering you an opportunity for various kinds of learning and networking.
- Presentation – standard presentation format with opportunity for question and answer.
- Discussion – typically offered during the Management Symposium, these sessions focus around a topic of interest and presenters offer insight and lead discussion around that topic.
- DiscussIT sessions – conducted during the Service & Support conference, but with the same format used in the Management Symposium sessions, these are open discussions on topics that vary in the IT world of support.
- Poster – an open forum where multiple topics are presented in poster format and authors are available to answer questions in a one-on-one setting.
- Birds of a Feather – informal networking opportunities based on IT topics, offering you the opportunity to meet people using similar technologies or facing similar issues on their campuses.
This year, the annual conference will take place at the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza in Chicago, Illinois.
While you are attending, you can volunteer to be a session chair or serve in any one of the many volunteer positions.
